Nursing Assistant training This is a 101hr course which includes 45 hrs of classroom instruction on home helath, long term care, patients' rights, elder abuse, communication, working with different populations, aging, end of life care, anatomy & physiology, infection control, care of the client's environment, nutrition & hydration, body mechanics, skin care, personal care, rehabilitation, vital signs, special procedures,, common diseases, dementia/Alzheimer's disease & emergency procedures. The course includes 35 hrs of clinical practice & demonstration of applied skills in a clinical classroom. the last 21 hrs of the course are completed under RN supervision at a licensed skilled nursing facility. Home Health Aide Training This is an 80hr course covering the same topics as the Nursing Assistant (above), including classroom demonstration of learned skills, but without the 20hrs at a skilled nursing facility.
