Due to the popularity of our homeschool classes, we are offering our winter homeschool class on both Tuesdays and Fridays. Please choose either the Friday series (dates below) or the Tuesday series (see separate listing for dates). Winter is a magical time to be outdoors. Join us for our weekly homeschool class where we will investigate all that winter has to offer. While we will begin our classes indoors, the majority of our time will be spent exploring our wonderful sanctuary. Can you think of a better way to spend a winter morning Winter Tracking: January 13 The snows of winter provide an excellent opportunity to get an up-close look at animal tracks. Come discover the skills necessary to become an animal detective. Well take a hike through the sanctuary and learn to identify animal signs such as tracks and scat. Winter Wetland Mammals: January 20 While many of our smaller mammals spend the winter hunkered down in their burrows, beavers and otters remain active throughout the coldest months.
