Unlike most other Tektronix 5XX series scopes You have the ability to trace the beam on 2 axis with no timebase.

This is great if you are trying tune an LC circuit for resonance with no timebase using lissajous patterns.

No need to measure max amplitude for each phase, just adjust the circuit to get the circular X-Y pattern, fast & easy.

The above is just 1 of many uses for a scope that unlocks you from a built-in timebase.

Also has external beam intensity modulation input.

Each of the two plug-ins are duel channel to combine 2 waveforms for each axis if you wish.

A timebase plug-in can be installed on ether axis if you wish to use the scope in a more conventional way.

The scope is tested and in full working order, probes are included.
