Volunteer Opportunity! Join REI and the Sudbury Valley Trustees for new trail construction at Walnut Hill in Southborough. The trail will serve as an important regional connector, linking the Westborough Charm Bracelet on SVT's Sawink Farm and Cedar Hill Reservations with the Reservoir Trail in Southborough. SVT and REI will provide loppers, rakes and work gloves, but if you have your own please feel free to bring them. You should bring boots or shoes that cover your feet (no sandals or flip flops), long pants, and some water to drink while you work. Limited to 15 volunteers. Meet at SVT's Sawink Farm Reservation at 1pm. Directions: From route 495 take the route 9 west exit 23B. Follow route 9 west approximately 1.1 miles to the route 30 east (E. Main St.) exit. Bear right onto East Main Street. Continue approximately 1 mile to Walker Street on the left. Turn left on Walker Street and continue down the hill to the SVT sign and a small gravel parking lot on the left. Free REI t-shirts to those who register.
