Working with the Centre Director in Boston and the Group Accounts Executive at EC Central in Malta, this position has primary responsibility for the accounting and bookkeeping functions at the EC school level.
Successful candidate must be eligible to work in the US.
Key Responsibilities:
? Follow all internal reporting requirements including meeting monthly deadlines for several key financial reports
? Manage and monitor bank accounts including regular reconciliations, deposits, wire transfers, and vendor invoices
? Maintain confidentiality of company financial information, including payroll information
? Oversee accounts payable
? Manage company petty cash
? Prepare commission payments for Centre Director
? To post all card receipts, bank deposits and incoming bank transfers in Quick Books and assist Group Finance in reconciling debtor balances in the booking system with Quick Books.
? Develop and maintain well-organized and paper and electronic files
? Assist Centre Director with budget development and budget monitoring
? Assist in the preparation for any external and or internal audits as and when directed by the Centre Director
? Create sustainable processes for tracking accommodations including pre-paid invoices and accrued expenses
? Assist with front desk duties including student welfare duties, fee collection, credit sales
? Responsible for handling all student course changes and course refunds
? Proactively suggest process improvements.
? Abide by the philosophy, reputation and professional standards of EC.
? Follow all applicable state and federal laws, corporate standards and guidelines.
? Other duties as assigned.
