MAP is seeking a dynamic and visionary Executive Director to help develop and implement a new strategic plan. The Executive Director must have the vision and energy to re-position MAP for the future and the skills and experience to manage the ongoing programs and commitments.
Vision and Strategy
The ED leads strategic planning and visioning for MAP for Health and works closely with the Board of Directors and staff to develop and implement a new long-term strategic plan. The ED oversees the development, implementation, and evaluation of goals and programs and designs and builds strategic partnerships and alliances to strengthen organizational impact, visibility, and finances.
Outreach and Development
The ED serves as the public face and primary fundraiser of MAP for Health. The ED speaks, writes, and advocates on behalf of MAP in the press and in public forums including social media. The ED cultivates relationships with leaders in the API community and beyond to develop organizational and financial support. The ED meets and solicits support from elected officials and policymakers and cultivates relationships with current and prospective donors and funders. The ED identifies potential sources of funding through grants, contracts, and public-private partnerships and prepares and submits appropriate applications, requests and other documentation. The ED works with the Board of Directors to plan, develop, and execute fundraising events and initiatives.
Organizational Management
The ED is the Chief Administrative Officer for MAP and directly supervises and supports program staff. The ED ensures compliance with program and contractual requirements and oversees required reporting and documentation. The ED works with the Board of Directors to prepare the budget and manages the daily finances within established budget guidelines.
